Description
The Red Ally Shrimp is a popular salmon fly pattern, particularly effective in the autumn months. It’s a variation of the traditional Ally’s Shrimp, designed by Ally Gowans, but with red incorporated to better stimulate aggressive takes from salmon in the later season. The fishing fly features a red body, often with black accents, and a wing typically made of grey squirrel. It’s fished on a variety of lines and leader setups, depending on the conditions and the angler’s preferences.
